Our optical imaging systems enable detailed surface analysis, defect detection, and three-dimensional characterisation of complex components where accuracy and resolution are critical.\ NAs a Confocal Microscopy Engineer, you will contribute to the development, optimisation, and validation of next-generation optical imaging systems.
Working across optics, imaging, hardware, and software, you will help improve system performance and deliver advanced measurement solutions for demanding industrial applications.\ NResponsibilities \ N Develop and optimise confocal microscopy systems for industrial imaging and measurement applications.\ N Improve optical system performance, including resolution, stability, and measurement accuracy.\ N Analyse and interpret complex imaging data to support system development and application requirements.\ N Support the integration, testing, and validation of optical imaging solutions.\ N Develop and improve imaging workflows, measurement methods, and system calibration procedures.\ N Investigate technical challenges and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.\ N Collaborate closely with optics, software, mechanical engineering, and R&D teams.\ N Support customer applications, demonstrations, and technical evaluations where required.\ N Requirements \ N Experience with confocal microscopy, optical imaging systems, or advanced microscopy techniques.\ N Strong understanding ofoptical principles, imaging systems, and photonics technologies.\ N Background in Physics, Photonics, Optical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.\ N Experience analysing and interpreting imaging data.\ N Knowledge of image processing, optical characterisation, or measurement techniques.\ N Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to engineering challenges.\ N Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary development teams.\ N Desirable Skills\ N Experience with image processing techniques and analysis tools.\ N Programming experience in Python, MATLAB, C++, or similar technical environments.\ N Knowledge of automation, motion control, or precision instrumentation.\ N Experience developing optical systems for semiconductor, industrial inspection, or precision manufacturing applications.\ N Join Us Bepart of a highly skilled engineering team pushing the boundaries of optical imaging technology.
