Freelance | Construction Site Manager | Processing Plant Project | Position: Freelance Construction Site Manager Location: Cologne (Köln), Germany Contract Type: Freelance Project Duration: 12 Months (with potential extension) Start Date: ASAP Contract Type: Self-employed / Freelance Our client is delivering a new specialty chemicals processing facility in Cologne, Germany.
We are seeking an experienced Freelance Construction Site Manager to oversee on-site construction activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution. Reporting to the Project Director, you will work closely with engineering, HSE, and construction teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day construction activities across multiple workstreams. Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and site supervisors. Ensure all works are completed in accordance with project specifications, safety standards, and local regulations.
Monitor project schedules and identify potential risks to completion dates. Liaise with project managers, engineering teams, and client representatives. Track progress and provide regular status reports. Required Experience Minimum 5 years' experience in construction management within industrial projects.
Proven experience managing processing plants, petrochemical, chemical, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing facilities. Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, piping, and civil construction activities Familiarity with German construction regulations and HSE requirements.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Professional English and German language skills.
