Join us as an:Expert - Medium Voltage Power Conversion Systems (m/f/d)to contribute to the development of our Huawei Power Conversion Technology Laboratory, which plays an important role in designs and develops power converters and control systems for applications such as Photo Voltaic (PV), Data Center and Critical Power (DCCP), Electric Vehicle (EV), Board Mounted Power Supply (BMP) power ranges from several Watts to Mega Watts, and the most challenging things are high efficiency high density, cost effective and low static power consumption.

Your missionYou will be the technical authority in formulating requirements for R&D activities for Medium Voltage Power Conversion SystemsYou will lead and execute the research and development of novel next generation MV architectures and converter structures for high power Solar PV, BESS, Data Center and EV charging applicationsYou will take ownership of the design, subsequent verification and validation of MV converter concepts in the R&D laboratoriesYou will closely collaborate with external R&D Institutes and Universities in developing novel converter and control algorithms for MV power electronic applications relevant to Huawei Digital PowerYou will generate novel ideas and protect them with IPR fillingsYou will lead and mentor cross discipline R&D EngineersYour areas of expertise:You hold a PhD or Master's degree in the field of power electronics, electrical and electronic engineering or in a similar engineering disciplineYou shall possess several years of proven experience in Medium Voltage, high power electronics and system experience in product design or prototype development in an industrial contextYou have a deep expertise in MV power electronic converter topologies, modulation, control and algorithm development, more focusing on system and Megawatt level power hardware designYou have a good working knowledge of MV standards and practical insulation coordination experience is desirableYou have a proven experience with new technology development initiatives, innovation and technical leadershipHigh level of self-reliance and an autonomous target-oriented work style, “can do” attitude, eager to learn new things and ready to think outside the boxYou may have occasional travel related to ongoing projects, seminars, conferences etc.
