IT Infrastructure Operations Engineer (m/f/d)

As part of our interdisciplinary and international team, you will collaborate closely with key internal and external stakeholders, including business units, security specialists, and technology partners.

Your ResponsibilitiesContribute to the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of infrastructure automation processesAdminister, maintain, and optimize Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments, including Red Hat SatelliteManage and monitor enterprise backup solutions, particularly CommVaultOperate and maintain our infrastructure monitoring environment and continuously improve monitoring, alerting, and operational visibilityPerform on-site datacenter activities, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, hardware replacement, and support of physical infrastructure componentsOperate, maintain, and continuously improve server, storage, and infrastructure services within our enterprise datacenter environmentProactively analyze infrastructure alerts, performance data, and system health to identify and resolve potential issues before they impact servicesTroubleshoot and resolve incidents related to servers, operating systems, storage, backup, monitoring, and infrastructure servicesSupport lifecycle management, patching, configuration, and hardening of server environmentsContribute to the continuous development and improvement of our IT infrastructure architecture and operational standardsIdentify opportunities to increase automation, reliability, scalability, and operational efficiencyParticipate in incident, problem, and change management processesCreate and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge base articlesShare knowledge, mentor colleagues, and contribute to technical training and enablement activitiesCollaborate closely with infrastructure, network, security, cloud, and application teamsYour QualificationsDegree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a comparable qualification combined with relevant professional experienceStrong experience in Linux system administration, preferably Red Hat Enterprise LinuxExperience with infrastructure automation and standardized operational processesHands-on experience with Red Hat Satellite, including patch management, lifecycle management, and system provisioningExperience with enterprise backup solutions, ideally CommVaultExperience with infrastructure monitoring and alerting solutionsExperience operating and troubleshooting infrastructure in enterprise datacenter environmentsWillingness and ability to perform regular on-site work in the datacenter, including hands-on work with physical infrastructureGood understanding of high-availability, redundancy, and disaster recovery conceptsExperience with virtualization, server, and storage technologies is an advantageKnowledge of networking and IT security concepts is an advantageExperience with scripting and automation technologies such as Bash, Python, or Ansible is desirableAbility to analyze monitoring data, system performance, and alerts and translate them into concrete operational actionsStructured, reliable, and independent working styleStrong analytical and troubleshooting skillsStrong team-player mentality combined with a service-oriented and customer-focused approachGood communication skills and willingness to share knowledge across teamsYour BenefitsA challenging and rewarding role in a highly secure, innovative, and mission-critical IT environmentModern workstations and a professional IT infrastructureOpportunities for further education and certifications in automation, Linux, and backup technologiesFlexible working hours and attractive employee benefitsA motivated team with flat hierarchies and short decision-making processes$$ We are an equal opportunity employer!
