Freelance | EPC Project Manager | Utility-Scale Solar & BESS Location: Hamburg, Germany Contract: Freelance Project duration: (12-18 Months) Role: Project manager Start Date: ASAP We are supporting a leading EPC contractor in the delivery of a 150MW Solar PV and 100MWh Battery Energy Storage (BESS) project in Northern Germany and are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead project execution through construction and commissioning.
This is the opportunity to work on a long-term freelance assignment on a flagship renewable energy project. Key Responsibilities Take full responsibility for EPC project delivery, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality targets are achieved.
Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and grid connection activities. Manage relationships with the project owner, subcontractors, local authorities, and grid operators. Oversee HSE performance and ensure compliance with German regulations and site standards.
Lead project meetings and provide regular progress reporting to senior stakeholders. Requirements 5+ years' experience managing large-scale renewable energy EPC projects. Proven track record delivering utility-scale Solar PV, BESS, or electrical infrastructure projects.
Strong knowledge of German construction practices, EPC contracts, and project controls. Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors on site. Familiarity with HV substations, grid connection works, and commissioning activities. Fluent English required; German language skills are advantageous.
