Quality Improvement Specialist – Fresh & Cold Chain (m/f/d)

About the Role We are looking for a Quality Improvement Specialist – Fresh & Cold Chain (m/f/d) to support the further development of our fresh and cold-chain business in Germany. In this role, you will be responsible for quality control of fresh products, cold-chain monitoring, inbound quality checks and supplier quality follow-up.
You will help ensure that fresh products meet the required quality, compliance and documentation standards across warehousing and logistics processes. Your Responsibilities Conduct quality inspections and acceptance checks for fresh products Verify official quarantine, veterinary and origin certificates for local and cross-border goods Monitor cold-chain temperatures across warehousing, storage and transportation processes Support end-to-end quality control for fresh food logistics Perform inbound quality checks, including product appearance, weight, packaging and composition Review supplier documentation and ensure proper traceability records Identify, document and follow up on quality deviations and non-conforming products Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions — CAPA Coordinate with local and international suppliers regarding quality issues, documentation and improvement actions Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to quality-related inquiries Handle customer quality complaints and support recall-related processes where required Your Profile Degree or professional background in Food Science, Agricultural Science, Supply Chain, Logistics, Quality Management or a related field Experience in quality control, food logistics, fresh products, cold chain, supplier quality or a comparable operational quality role Knowledge of EU food safety, fresh food import or cold-chain requirements Familiarity with HACCP, BRC, IFS, ISO 22000 or EU Regulation EC 852/2004 is an advantage Experience with temperature monitoring, quality inspections, supplier audits or CAPA processes is beneficial Structured and detail-oriented working style with strong documentation skills Ability to investigate quality issues, identify root causes and follow up on corrective actions Good communication skills and confidence working with internal teams, suppliers and external stakeholders Good written and spoken English skills; additional European languages are an advantage What We Offer A responsible role in a growing international logistics environment The opportunity to help build and improve fresh and cold-chain quality processes in Germany Close collaboration with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain and international teams A dynamic working environment with room to take ownership Development opportunities in a fast-growing logistics organization Equal Opportunity We are committed to creating an inclusive and respectful working environment.
