Job-ID: 8690Category: DC OpsLocation: Düsseldorf, Nordrhein-Westfalen, GermanyWorkplace: On-siteSchedule: Full timeYOUR ROLEAs a Site Engineer (f/m/d) in Düsseldorf, you will work as part of a three-shift system to ensure the safe, reliable and efficient operation of our mission-critical infrastructure.

You will perform maintenance and repair activities, conduct routine inspections, respond to technical incidents and coordinate external service providers. You will help keep the data center running smoothly and ensure uninterrupted service delivery in line with SLAs, operational procedures and safety standards.WHAT YOU WILL DOMonitor and inspect critical data center infrastructure and associated equipmentPerform planned maintenance and corrective repair activitiesTroubleshoot technical issues and act as a first-line responder to incidentsCoordinate and supervise subcontractors and external service providersSupport equipment and system switching proceduresEnsure compliance with safety requirements, operational procedures and regulatory standardsDocument technical work, maintenance activities and incidentsIdentify and report potential risks to uptime and agreed SLAsContribute to energy efficiency and continuous improvement initiativesCollaborate with internal teams, customers, Security and third-party suppliersWHAT YOU WILL NEEDCompleted vocational training in electrical engineering, such as electronics technician for energy and building technology, industrial engineering or a comparable qualificationElectrical switching authorization up to 1,000 voltsAt least three years of relevant professional experience in an electrotechnical environmentExperience in operating, maintaining and troubleshooting electrotechnical systemsGerman language skills at a minimum B2 level and English at a minimum B2 levelWillingness to work in a three-shift systemStrong problem-solving skills, a hands-on mentality and a proactive, well-organized working styleA category B driving licence and access to a car would be advantageousWHAT WE OFFEROpen door culture with short communications paths and flat hierarchiesPersonalized onboarding plan (buddy system), education programsPersonal development options in a fast-growing environmentExtensive social benefits (digital meal vouchers, bike leasing, pension plan, etc.)Many extras like free drinks, fresh fruit, or cool team eventsA Bit About UsDigital Realty brings companies and data together by delivering the full spectrum of data center, colocation and interconnection solutions.
