System Performance Engineer (m/f/d)

• ## Your Tasks
• In this position, you will work in collaboration with architects and subsystem engineers on tasks like:
• Modelling of the Satellite’s imaging geometry and analysis of the geometric performances

Pointing performance engineering on subjects like microvibration, thermo-elastic deformation and others.

Implementation of the performance calibration and development of the associated software tools.

Performance testing at various levels (Satellite, Platform, Units) including the test evaluation.

Algorithm development for data processing and simulation focused on satellite level aspects such as geometry.

• Implementation and Maintenance of the Satellite Characterization and Calibration Database used for the on-ground data processing
• ## Your Qualifications
• University degree in physics, aerospace engineering, remote sensing, or similar
• Professional experience in one or more of the following categories is advantageous
• Satellite design, in particular optical and/or radar missions
• Design & simulation of control systems, multibody systems, mechanisms or similar
• Geometric performances of Earth observation space missions
• End-to-End Simulation of Earth-Observation and/or Science Data
• Experience in programming (e.g. MATLAB, Python)
• Self-managed, solution-oriented and pro-active working style
• Ability to work in a team
• Working level proficiency in written and spoken English and German. Other language skills advantageous
• Willingness to work in defense & surveillance projects
