Technical Support Engineer – Germany Location: Germany Employment Type: Full-time About the Role HYXi is looking for a Technical Support Engineer to support our growing business in Germany. This position will provide technical assistance for our solar and energy storage product portfolio, including microinverters, balcony energy storage systems, residential energy storage systems, and commercial & industrial (C&I) energy storage solutions.
The role requires close cooperation with customers, installers, distributors, and our China-based technical and R&D teams. Therefore, native or bilingual proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is required. Key Responsibilities Provide pre-sales and after-sales technical support for microinverters, balcony storage, residential storage, and C&I energy storage products.
Support customers and installation partners with system design, product selection, installation, commissioning, configuration, and troubleshooting. Diagnose technical issues remotely or on-site and coordinate solutions with the R&D and product teams in China.
Conduct technical training and product demonstrations for distributors, installers, service partners, and internal sales teams. Handle customer inquiries and technical cases, ensuring timely follow-up and effective resolution.
Collect and analyse field feedback and support continuous product and service improvement. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, service reports, troubleshooting guides, and training materials. Support new product introductions, field tests, and pilot projects in the German market.
Travel within Germany and occasionally to other European countries when required. Requirements Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Renewable Energy, Automation, or a related technical field.
Relevant experience in photovoltaics, inverters, battery energy storage systems, or electrical engineering is preferred. Practical knowledge of PV and energy storage system installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
Native or bilingual proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is required for communication with the China-based headquarters. Professional proficiency in English; German proficiency is strongly preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.
Customer-oriented, responsible, and able to work independently in an international environment. Willingness to travel and a valid driving licence.
