Application Development & Support Specialist

Overview As an Application Development and Support Specialist, you will help connect product configurators to 3D visualization and ensure reliable CPQ models. You'll split your focus between Tacton CPQ configurator development and 3D visualization logic, collaborating with engineering and product teams.

You will shape how configurations translate into visuals and pricing, driving efficient, scalable models. This role combines hands-on coding with cross-functional collaboration to support Vertiv's global product platforms.

Responsabilità Develop and maintain JavaScript logic linking CPQ configuration to 3D assets, including visibility, geometry substitution, positioning, materials, animation and camera control Implement option-to-geometry mapping to ensure correct visuals for every valid configuration Author, test, and publish visualization logic via Tacton VizStudio and related runtime Define technical requirements for 3D assets (naming, hierarchy, pivot points, material slots) and coordinate with the 3D Visualisation Artist Debug visualization defects and optimize runtime performance across browsers and devices Create reusable script libraries and templates to accelerate new product families Document visualization logic standards and contribute to internal production pipelines Create and maintain digital product models in Tacton CPQ based on product specs and data structures Define model architecture and rules to ensure consistency across development Develop JavaScript functions for sizing, performance, costing calculations and data manipulation Build user-friendly configurator UI and guide models through alpha/beta testing to release Perform updates to released models (options, JS, pricing) and support CPQ integrations with ERP, CRM and pricing tools Support ticket-based maintenance (ServiceNow) and drive configuration tool issues to resolution Translate business/engineering requirements into technical specs and identify gaps Participate in solution architecture reviews and collaborate with diverse stakeholders Provide mentoring and user guides; train new users and team members Travel occasionally within EMEA up to 10–15% Requisiti fondamentali Strong hands-on JavaScript development skills Experience with CPQ platforms; familiarity with Tacton CPQ, Configure One, Oracle CPQ or similar tools Experience with product configuration modelling, constraints-based and rule-based configuration Understanding of core 3D concepts (scene graphs, hierarchies, transforms, materials, cameras) Knowledge of Tacton VizStudio, Tacton Studio and Tacton Admin; vendor shadowing provided Experience with version control (Git) Experience with ServiceNow or other ticket-based environments is a plus Experience with Quote-to-Order or Opportunity-to-Order systems is preferred Knowledge of Python, Java, VB.NET or SQL is preferred Familiarity with CAD data/engineering formats (STEP, PTC Creo, SolidWorks) is advantageous Proficiency with Office 365 tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Visio); SharePoint/Smartsheet preferred Fluent in English; international work experience is a plus Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication for technical and non-technical audiences Attention to detail and ability to work across parallel workstreams JavaScript development for CPQ and visualization layers Tacton CPQ, Tacton VizStudio, Tacton Studio, Tacton Admin 3D concepts and manipulation in code
