Data Engineer

Overview As a Data Engineer at Oerlikon, you will help build a cloud data platform on Microsoft Azure/Fabric to enable Analytics, AI and digitalization. You will translate business requirements into scalable data solutions and deliver Data Products in a cross-functional environment.

You will design data models, implement integrations and pipelines, and develop Power BI dashboards to empower decision-making. This role sits in a global, collaborative team focused on data-driven transformation and impact.

Retribuzione / Benefits hybrid working model global team supportive and collaborative culture permanent full-time contract under CCNL competitive salary 38,000–48,000 EUR opportunity for growth and development Responsabilità Analyze business requirements related to data management and analytics Develop solution concepts following guidelines, templates and best practices Implement data management solutions including integration, transformation, data modelling and storage on Microsoft Azure/Fabric Deliver maintenance to developed solutions Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports Requisiti fondamentali Bachelor in Computer Science (or related) with 4+ years in data management/analytics Proficiency in data modeling methodologies and tools; ability to design ER diagrams and data flow diagrams Experience with cloud data platform solutions including storage, integration, governance Understanding of cloud services for data storage, processing and analytics Knowledge of DevOps principles and tools; CI/CD on Azure and GitHub Proficiency in Italian and English Experience in multinational and geographically distributed work environments Proven experience developing dashboards and reports using Power BI collaboration in cross-functional teams strong communication across cultures adaptability in a distributed work environment data modeling ER diagrams data flow diagrams
