Director Project Controlling EMEA

Overview

In this role, you will lead the regional Project Controlling function for EMEA, ensuring reliable forecasting, margin protection, cash optimization and robust governance across the project portfolio. You partner with Operations, BU leadership and the Executive Team to translate complex project data into strategic decisions. You will drive standardization, digitalization and continuous improvement, building a high-performing multinational team. Responsabilità

• Own financial oversight and performance management of the EMEA project portfolio, ensuring delivery against budget, forecast and commitments
• Act as trusted finance advisor to BU Leaders on portfolio optimization and growth
• Lead regional portfolio and performance reviews, articulate drivers of variances and define corrective actions
• Ensure robust project lifecycle governance, including contract review, EAC, and close-out
• Strengthen controls and audit remediation, drive data quality and transparent reporting
• Lead risk and opportunity governance, optimize margin and cash flow
• Develop and coach a multinational Project Controlling organization across EMEA
• Drive standardization of methodologies, governance, and KPIs; lead finance transformation
• Support bid/contract reviews and profitability assessment for strategic opportunities
• Collaborate with Commercial, Legal, Sales Controlling and Estimation teams to protect portfolio profitability
• Leverage SAP S/4HANA, Oracle, Power BI for forecasting and analytics
• Oversee reward of transformation and change programs in finance and IT
• Ensure alignment with IFRS 15, US GAAP and internal policies

Requisiti fondamentali

• Master degree in Finance, Economics, Management Engineering, Business Administration or a comparable discipline
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in project controlling, finance operations or commercial finance
• Experience managing large project portfolios and multicultural teams
• Strong knowledge of percentage-of-completion accounting, IFRS 15 and US GAAP
• Experience with automation, EPC or long-cycle project environments is highly desirable
• Expertise in EAC forecasting, budgeting, risk management and internal controls
• Proficiency with ERP, analytics and reporting platforms (SAP S/4HANA, Oracle, Power BI)
• Leadership experience in transformation, process standardization and performance improvement
