High-Speed SerDes & Mixed-Signal Validation Engineer

Overview Join Marvell's Hardware and Silicon Validation team to own VCSEL-based optical interconnect test platforms from design to bring-up. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to validate next-generation high-speed interconnects across labs and vendors.

Lead projects, mentor junior engineers, and develop automation and measurement techniques for optical and electrical links. This role offers hands-on lab work, cross-site collaboration, and the chance to shape impactful optical technologies at scale.

Retribuzione / Benefits competitive compensation and great benefits bonus and equity plans new hire equity grant inclusive environment growth and development global collaboration Responsabilità Own test platforms or boards from requirements to bring-up Design and develop electrical/optical test benches for VCSEL interconnects Develop hardware (PCBs, boards, fixtures) and manage fabrication/assembly with partners Create new measurement techniques for optical/electrical links and validate instruments Automate benches and data flows using Python; analyze data and correlate results Define validation plans from silicon to product tape-out; engage with cross-functional teams Coordinate with optics vendors to qualify samples and correlate results across sites Prepare test plans, reports, and guidelines; communicate with stakeholders Requisiti fondamentali 9+ years of related experience with Bachelor's or 6+ years with Master's/PhD Hands-on high-speed electrical lab measurements (oscilloscopes, BERT, VNA/TDR, AWG, spectrum analyzers) Hands-on optical lab measurements (power meters, optical spectrum analyzers, photoreceivers) Bench automation in Python (SCPI/VISA/GPIB) and data analysis (Python, MATLAB, JMP or R) Understanding of high-speed board design, SI/PI, transmission lines, PCB materials Experience with OrCAD/Allegro or equivalent tools Strong fundamentals in communications systems and analog/digital circuits Demonstrated ownership of complex projects and mentoring Good troubleshooting and root-cause skills Fluent English; able to work with remote teams across Italy, Vietnam, Canada and the US cross-functional collaboration mentoring problem-solving high-speed electrical lab techniques optical lab techniques Python automation for hardware
