With a goal to deliver sustainable growth the CSS group will present the successful candidate with a great opportunity for continuous career development as part of a highly motivated and supportive team. /ph3The position /h3pThe group is seeking an experienced Principal Analog IC Design Engineer with deep expertise in power‑management analog design to develop next‑generation PMICs for portable consumer applications.
The role includes direct engagement with Tier‑1 OEMs and opportunities for supervisory and mentoring responsibilities. /ph3Responsibilities /h3pGeneral Responsibilities /pulliWorking within an analog/mixed-signal design team based in our Catania (Italy), Sophia Antipolis (France), Edinburgh (Scotland), and Newbury (England) sites. /liliDefinition and architecture development of high-performance mixed signal devices. /liliIC block design, transistor-level circuit design and simulation. /liliConducting technical presentations to ADI’s internal engineering team and customers. /liliUsing recommended design and verification techniques, tools flows to produce efficient designs which meet all specified functional, power and timing objectives. /liliSuccessful integration of blocks into larger mixed-signal systems. /liliSupporting other job functions such as layout, lab evaluation and test to ensure successful delivery meeting all requirements. /liliContinuing to improve analog design methodologies consistent with the group’s wider business objectives to reduce time and cost to market. /li /ulh3Power Design Responsibilities (Core Focus) /h3ulliArchitect, design, and validate high‑performance power‑management circuits, including: /liulliSwitching regulators (buck/boost, multi‑mode/multi‑phase, high‑efficiency converters) /liliLow‑dropout regulators (LDOs) for low‑noise and high‑PSRR applications /liliCharge pumps and related switched‑capacitor converter architectures /li /ulliDevelop closed‑loop control architectures, including compensation strategies, loop‑stability optimization, and transient‑response enhancement. /liliDrive innovation in ultra‑low‑power, fast‑transient, and high‑efficiency power designs tailored to demanding portable consumer applications. /liliCollaborate closely with system architects to define end‑to‑end power architectures and ensure seamless integration into complex mixed‑signal SoCs. /liliLead power block bring‑up, silicon debug, and optimization to achieve best‑in‑class performance across process, voltage, and temperature variations. /li /ulh3Requirements /h3ulliElectronic Engineering degree with 10+ years’ experience as an analog/mixed signal IC designer. /liliDeep and demonstrable expertise in power‑management circuit design, including switching regulators, LDOs, charge pumps, and associated control‑loop architectures (required core competency, not optional). /liliDesign experience with circuits such as amplifiers, DACs, ADCs, bandgaps, bias circuits, etc., is an advantage. /liliStrong people leadership, inter‑personal, teamwork and communication skills are required to work well within a multi‑site cross functional team. /liliThe successful candidate will be expected to take a full cell or system ownership role and contribute to the development of new products from architecture selection to implementation and debug. /liliExperience integrating power‑management and analog blocks into complex SoCs or microcontroller systems is a strong advantage. /liliSome limited travel should be expected. /li /ulh3Export Licensing /h3pFor positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S.
