Job Description Wood is looking for a Senior Technical Safety Engineer with proven experience in chairing HAZID and HAZOP to join its Projects – Process and Chemical Team. The position will be based in Corsico (Milan) office, with the possibility to work from home up to two days per week and short trips abroad to lead or participate in HAZOPs and safety reviews at client premises.
The Role The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing Technical Safety aspects, studies, and workshops in a wide range of projects (refinery, petrochemical, pharma, etc.) under the coordination of the Technical Safety Department Manager.

Responsibilities The key objectives for this role are: Support senior colleagues in coordination of THSE matters in Basic / FEED / EPC contracts, interfacing with colleagues in different working areas and with clients, and acquire capabilities to be the focal point coordinator of THSE aspects in Wood projects.
Help senior colleagues in project HSE compliance in the design phase and overall project Technical HSE performances. Interface with HSE specialised external consultants (permitting, specific studies, etc.). Increase experience in the THSE profession and risk assessment.

First, and preferably, further degree level qualifications covering Engineering, Process / Design Safety or Environmental disciplines. Experience in a similar role for at least 8 years. Experience in chairing HAZID / HAZOP workshops, SIL allocation / LOPA studies.
Experience in HSE aspects in engineering design (safety distances, ergonomics, fire
