SIGNALLING V&V ENGINEER

Overview

In this role you will lead on-board signaling validation activities within a fast-paced, multinational team. You’ll work across design, development, RAMS, and engineering to ensure safe, compliant delivery of the On-Board Subsystem. The position focuses on testing, analysis, and documentation to support project milestones and customer requirements. You’ll operate in a culture that values collaboration, continuous improvement, and high-quality technical reporting. This is an opportunity to contribute to railway signaling at system level in Naples.

Responsabilità

• Design and execute laboratory tests in simulated and real environments
• Analyze and verify On-Board Subsystem signaling (requirements, static, software, troubleshooting analyses)
• Support Testing and Validation teams in activity planning for signaling projects
• Support Signaling Validation activities
• Conduct testing and validation in compliance with standards, contractual requirements, schedules, procedures, quality, safety, and environmental objectives per CENELEC
• Create and draft technical documentation, reports, and V&V evidence
• Optimize documentation and software configuration for testing environments
• Troubleshoot, identify and resolve system/subsystem issues
• Ensure delivery and deployment of the On-Board Subsystem in collaboration with Design, Development, RAMS, Engineering teams and stakeholders
• Support Operation & Maintenance post-delivery

Requisiti fondamentali

• Software development and programming languages (at least one: C, C++, C#, Java, Python, ADA, etc.)
• Good knowledge of HW and SW systems
• Structural Analysis
• Problem solving and critical thinking with validation experience
• Experience working in multi-cultural/international environments
• Adaptability and flexibility in matrix organizations
• Effective written and verbal communication
• Attention to details and accuracy
• Strong teamwork and cross-functional collaboration
• Planning, organisation and prioritisation
• ERP/RTMS knowledge (ERTMS) as a plus
• Experience with testing and validation processes
• Knowledge of CENELEC standards compliance
