ph3bWhy you should join: /b /h3 pThe RD Product Development Engineer (Tooling) will be part of a team responsible for developing industrial termination machines for the appliance industry. /p pThese machines are used for the high-volume production of wire harnesses, integrating wires, connectors, and terminals in automated manufacturing processes. /p h3bYour main tasks: /b /h3 ul liLead machine development projects throughout the full lifecycle, from concept definition to design, validation, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning. /li liAct as the technical lead for assigned projects, coordinating cross-functional teams. /li liDrive innovation by identifying new technologies and industry trends to enhance product competitiveness. /li liDevelop machines that meet customer and market requirements for performance, quality, cost, reliability, and lead time. /li liCollaborate with global suppliers and development partners, including review and approval of supplier designs. /li liEnsure compliance with applicable regulations and standards, including CE requirements. /li liLead problem-solving, root-cause analysis, and risk assessment activities, including FMEA, to ensure robust and reliable machine designs. /li liGive on-site support to machine testing, troubleshooting, installation, startup, and commissioning. /li liPrepare and maintain technical specifications, design documentation, and detailed mechanical drawings. /li liReview designs to ensure technical feasibility, manufacturability, maintainability, and cost-effectiveness. /li /ul h3bYour ideal background: /b /h3 ul liBachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience. /li liMore than 3 years of experience in product development and engineering. /li liMinimum of 2 years of experience in industrial automation. /li liStrong knowledge of mechanical and mechatronic design. /li liDemonstrated experience in performing risk assessments and leading Design and Process FMEA activities to ensure robust, safe, and reliable machine designs in compliance with applicable standards. /li liProficiency with major CAD platforms, such as PTC Creo, SolidWorks, or Autodesk Inventor. /li liAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office applications. /li liExcellent command of the English language, both written and spoken. /li /ul pbNice to have: /b /p ul liKnowledge of automation software platforms (e.g., Beckhoff, Delphi) and PLC programming environments (e.g., Siemens S7, TIA Portal) as well as high level object oriented languages (C, C#, Java) /li liUnderstanding of electric and pneumatic diagrams /li liKnowledge of OT (Operational technology) application including MES /li liGood understanding of automation system design. /li liExperience with connector or terminal tooling. /li /ul h3bCompetencies /b /h3 pSET: Strategy, Execution, Talent (for managers) /p pABOUT TE CONNECTIVITY /p pTE Connectivity plc (NYSE: TEL) is a global industrial technology leader creating a safer, sustainable, productive, and connected future.
