Accountant The Opportunity This role is suitable for a Part-Qualified Accountant, Qualified by Experience (QBE) Accountant, or Fully Qualified Accountant with previous experience managing a portfolio of clients within an accountancy practice environment.

Key Responsibilities Managing a portfolio of clients across a variety of sectors Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders Preparing and reviewing management accounts Completing VAT returns and ensuring compliance with HMRC requirements Preparing corporation tax and self-assessment tax returns Providing bookkeeping support and reviewing financial records Acting as the main point of contact for clients and building strong professional relationships Liaising with HMRC and other external stakeholders Providing proactive advice and support to clients on financial and business matters Assisting with the development and mentoring of junior team members where required Requirements Essential Previous experience working within an accountancy practice Experience managing a portfolio of clients Strong knowledge of accounts preparation and taxation Experience preparing VAT returns and management accounts Excellent communication and organisational skills Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work effectively under pressure Qualifications Applications are welcomed from: ACCA, ACA or AAT Part-Qualified Accountants Qualified by Experience (QBE) Accountants Fully Qualified Accountants (ACCA, ACA or equivalent) Desirable Experience using cloud-based accounting software such as Xero and QuickBooks Experience reviewing the work of junior staff Experience working with owner-managed businesses Benefits Competitive salary Career progression opportunities Supportive and collaborative working environment Ongoing professional development Varied and interesting client portfolio Modern office environment If you are an experienced Accountant looking for a new challenge within a forward-thinking accountancy practice, we would like to hear from you.
