Reporting into a US-based Financial Controller, this role will act as the in-region finance lead, overseeing accounting, payroll, compliance, and vendor management across multiple sites. This is a high-autonomy role suited to someone who thrives in a scaling environment and is comfortable building structure, improving processes, and operating independently.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinance & Accounting OversightFull ownership of UK accounting operations across three sitesOversee AR, AP, and general ledger activitiesManage and support month-end close (lite month-end ownership locally; consolidation with US)Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reportingSupport working capital management and NWC targetsPayroll & BenefitsOwn end-to-end payroll process (with managerial review and fractional HR support)Ensure zero payroll errors or missesOversee benefits administration and related complianceStatutory ComplianceEnsure all UK statutory filings are accurate and on time (taxes, payroll submissions, Companies House, banking)Maintain zero compliance filings past deadlineLiaise with external accountants and advisors as neededVendor & External Partner ManagementLead RFP processes where requiredManage relationships with CPAs, legal advisors, tech providers, insurers, and other key partnersReduce leadership time spent on vendor management through strong local ownershipOperational & Regional LeadershipAct as the go-to finance leader in-regionPartner with site managers to drive financial discipline and reporting accuracySupport integration of newly acquired entitiesIdentify and implement process improvementsCandidate ProfileExperience4–5 years' experience in accounting/financeExperience in multi-site or services-based businesses preferredExposure to payroll, statutory compliance, and month-end processesExperience reporting into an international or US-based parent advantageousSkills & AttributesHighly autonomous and self-directedStrong attention to detail and integrity"Grit" and ownership mindset — gets things doneComfortable operating with urgency in a growing businessConfident communicating with senior stakeholders across regionsQualificationsACA / ACCA / CIMA part-qualified or qualified preferredWhy Join?
