Accounts & Audit Senior Location: North East An established and respected accountancy practice is seeking an experienced Accounts & Audit Senior to join its expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious accounting professional looking for a varied role combining audit, accounts preparation and client advisory responsibilities.
You will work with a diverse portfolio of businesses, taking ownership of assignments while developing strong client relationships and supporting junior members of the team. The Role Manage accounts and audit assignments for a varied portfolio of clients.
Prepare year-end financial statements for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion. Carry out audit fieldwork, identify issues and ensure files are completed accurately.
Assist with corporation tax computations and other compliance requirements. Act as a key contact for clients, providing professional support and advice. Review work completed by junior team members and provide guidance where required.
Manage workloads effectively to ensure deadlines are achieved. Maintain strong technical knowledge and keep up to date with regulatory changes. Contribute ideas to improve processes and enhance client service. About You ACA or ACCA qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience.
Previous experience within an accountancy practice is essential. Strong background in both audit and accounts preparation. Experience working with SMEs and owner-managed businesses. Confident communicator with strong client-facing skills.
