Adult Social Care Solicitor

Job Description Location: Solihull / predominantly remote Rate: Up to £60 per hour PAYE Hours: 2229 hours per week, ideally across 3 or 4 days Contract: Initial 36 months, with potential extension Start Date: Around 21 September 2026### The RoleWe are recruiting for an experienced Adult Social Care Solicitor to provide temporary cover within a busy local authority legal team.

The role is offered on a predominantly remote basis, as most hearings are conducted online. However, the successful candidate will need to attend the Solihull office initially to collect and test IT equipment and complete an induction.

The position will involve managing adult social care legal matters and providing clear, practical advice to officers and other stakeholders. The ability and willingness to undertake advocacy when required would be highly desirable.### Essential RequirementsQualified and authorised to practise in England and Wales as a Solicitor or Barrister; orFellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives with litigation practice rightsRelevant adult social care legal experienceAbility to manage an active caseload with minimal supervisionStrong written and verbal communication skillsAvailable to work between 22 and 29 hours per weekAble to attend the Solihull office for the initial IT setup and inductionPlease note that unqualified candidates cannot be considered for this position.
