Overview
As an Aftermarket Category Manager within Caterpillar’s SMSP team, you will own multiple product categories and drive initiatives that boost sales and profitability. You’ll shape category strategies across Product, Price, Promotion and Place, supporting dealers with training and resources. Your work spans market research, lifecycle management and cross-functional collaboration to grow our aftermarket business. This role offers global exposure and meaningful impact on Caterpillar’s sustainability-driven future.

Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic partner to the sales team to drive category performance and identify growth opportunities.
- Develop and implement category strategies aligned with business objectives and commercial success.
- Monitor market trends via industry, customer, and competitor analysis.
- Measure initiative impact with KPIs and drive continuous performance optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain an agile, consistent approach to category management and growth.
Key requirements
- Customer-focused with ability to translate needs into solutions.
- Extensive experience creating customer-centric products/services and fostering relationships.
- Collaborative mindset with ability to work across diverse groups.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities applied to business scenarios.
- Effective communications skills for adapting messages to audiences and stakeholders.
