Agentic Commerce Architect

Overview

In this role, you shape agentic commerce solutions at the intersection of enterprise platforms and Generative AI. You own technical architecture for delivery programmes, guiding build vs. buy decisions and translating complex designs for engineers and client stakeholders. You work on LLM-powered systems, RAG, and enterprise integration to enable intelligent, scalable commerce experiences. Responsibilities

• Own the technical architecture of agentic commerce workstreams within enterprise delivery programmes
• Design and document agentic AI solution architectures (LLM-powered apps, RAG, multi-agent patterns) for commerce use cases
• Architect integrations between agentic AI and enterprise platforms (OMS, PIM, CRM, payments, fulfilment) via APIs and event-driven patterns
• Contribute to build vs. buy decisions across LLM platforms, orchestration frameworks, vector stores, and commerce platforms
• Design knowledge/data architecture underpinning agent intelligence (embedding pipelines, vector retrieval, semantic search, structured product data)
• Embed AI governance, observability, and responsible AI principles in architecture (audit logging, human-in-the-loop, performance monitoring)
• Provide technical leadership to delivery teams, reviewing decisions and maintaining architectural coherence
• Lead technical workshops and architecture reviews with client stakeholders, presenting trade-offs and business outcomes
• Support development of Accenture Songs agentic commerce architecture capability (reference architectures, accelerators, viewpoints)

Key requirements

• ~7 years of professional experience in technical architecture, solution engineering, or software engineering with meaningful delivery across enterprise platforms and growing AI/agentic systems specialization
• Experience leading technical design sessions and presenting architecture options to senior audiences
• Hands-on delivery on at least one major enterprise commerce platform (Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Adobe Commerce, Commercetools, SAP Commerce, or MACH-aligned stack)
• Demonstrable experience with Generative AI and agentic AI systems (LLM-powered design, RAG, at least one agentic framework)
• Experience designing/building data and context pipelines for AI (embedding pipelines, vector databases, semantic search for structured commerce data)
• Familiarity with agentic commerce protocols (MCP, A2A, ACP) and their enterprise data connections
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for AI deployment and CI/CD delivery practices
• Understanding of AI governance, observability, tracing, auditability, and guardrails in production AI
• Clear communication of complex technical decisions
