Job DescriptionPurpose of the roleGuides teams, leaders, and organizations in adopting and optimizing Agile practices. To foster an Agile mindset, enhance team performance, and drive continuous improvement by coaching teams in Agile methodologies, facilitating collaboration, and removing barriers to efficiency.
Align Agile practices with organisational goals and support long-term, sustainable Agile transformations. AccountabilitiesMentor and coach : Guide teams and leaders on Agile principles, practices, tools, and methodologies in alignment to the Business Unit's strategic needs and delivering value to the client / customersFacilitate Colleague Development: Coach and Develop colleagues to embed Agile ways of working, championing an Agile mindset and behaviors to drive cultural changeBuild High-Performing Teams: Help teams identify and address impediments to Agile execution and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learningContinuous Improvement: Use data and metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and growthCross Business Collaboration: Collaborate with other Agile Coaches, share best practice and contribute to a network of Agile champions across Business UnitsAgile Adoption: Own the Agile coaching strategy to continually improve maturity levels across the organisation by embedding best practices.
Join us as an Agile Coach, where you'll support the acceleration of business transformation across Barclays UK (BUK) by helping Customer Journey Labs (Teams of Teams) and Feature Teams adopt and mature BUK Ways of Working.
You'll combine strategic influence with hands-on coaching to identify and address systemic challenges, improve flow, and strengthen organisational agility . The role requires strong coaching, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills to promote and embed BUK Ways of Working ensuring consistency and compliance.
You will champion Agile, Lean, and flow-based ways of working, driving their adoption across Business Portfolios and strategic initiatives to enhance delivery, collaboration, and outcomes. To be successful in this role, you should have: Proven experience as an Agile Coach or in a role driving Agile transformationStrong understanding of Agile, Lean, and flow-based delivery principlesDemonstrable experience coaching key Agile roles across Customer Journey Labs and Scrum/Kanban teamsExperience improving team effectiveness, quality and outcomes through metrics and qualitative observationsStrong facilitation, stakeholder management, and influencing skillsAbility to operate effectively across multiple teams and organisational levelsExperience embedding and scaling Agile ways of working within complex enterprise environmentsOther highly valued skills include: Agile certifications such as SAFe, ICAgile, Scrum Alliance, or AgilePMExperience working within financial services or a regulated environmentKnowledge of change management and organisational transformation practicesYou may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
