AI Engineer Manager

Overview

In this AI Engineer Manager role at Kainos, you will drive the delivery of advanced AI solutions and guide a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities

• Deliver production-grade AI/ML solutions leveraging state-of-the-art tech
• Lead architectural decisions, product design, and engineering excellence
• Drive adoption of modern AI frameworks and AIOps best practices
• Manage, coach and develop the team; establish standards and policies
• Foster enduring client relationships and capture architectural requirements
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to set strategic direction
• Promote a culture of innovation, learning, and continuous improvement
• Provide direction and solve challenging problems with the team

Key requirements

• 2.1 degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Statistics or similar quantitative field
• Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary teams to deliver AI/ML in production
• Technical leadership for AI delivery including architecture and product design principles
• Experience with prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agentic AI; model evaluation and drift monitoring
• Strong Python with software engineering practices (CI/CD, testing, code reviews)
• Experience deploying on Azure and AWS; Kubernetes and Docker for containerization
• Expertise in data engineering for AI with large-scale unstructured/multimodal data
• Understanding of responsible AI, model interpretability and ethics
• Strong interpersonal skills to lead client projects and manage C-level stakeholders
