AI Engineer (Python) (AVP)

Overview

In this AI Engineer role at Citi Tech, you will help build and scale an AI system that powers a Global Lending Platform. You’ll work within a SCRUM team to deliver production-grade AI components, leveraging MCP tools and AI agent frameworks.

The role combines hands-on development with collaboration across engineers and stakeholders, across a global, high-stakes environment. You’ll grow through mentorship and a culture that values craftsmanship, ownership, and continuous learning, with hybrid work options.

Responsibilities

• Implement software components for AI systems with focus on MCP tools and AI agent frameworks
• Operate as a committed SCRUM team member, delivering features reliably
• Balance speed with engineering excellence and proactively drive tasks to completion
• Contribute to code reviews, technical discussions, and shared standards

Key requirements

• Hands-on experience applying LLMs to real business problems from ideation to production
• Strong fluency in Python AI/ML ecosystem including Pydantic, REST API integration, database access, and orchestration frameworks (ADK or LangGraph)
• Proficient in SQL and working with complex data in enterprise environments
• Autonomous team player able to work in-office or remotely
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science
