This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced aircraft engineer or supervisor looking to combine hands-on engineering with leadership responsibility within a highly respected defence aviation programme. Working within a structured maintenance environment, you will support aircraft availability, technical standards, and team performance while developing your supervisory and leadership capabilities.

Key ResponsibilitiesUndertake and supervise aircraft depth maintenance and diagnostic activitiesCarry out inspections, repairs, modifications, and system testingAnalyse and diagnose faults on aircraft systems and componentsSupport maintenance delivery against operational and programme requirementsProvide technical leadership and support to maintenance techniciansPromote best practice and a proactive maintenance culture within the teamCarry out compliance-related support activities including tooling control and oversight checksEnsure all maintenance activities comply with approved procedures and Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) requirementsMaintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and regulatory complianceEssential Skills & ExperiencePrevious hands-on aircraft engineering or mechanical maintenance experienceStrong engineering knowledge and fault diagnostic capabilityExperience working within safety-critical or regulated maintenance environmentsAbility to lead, influence, and support maintenance personnelStrong communication, organisational, and time management skillsCommitment to high standards of safety, quality, and professional conductEligible to obtain and maintain BPSS and SC Security ClearanceQualificationsCompletion of a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship, ideally Aeronautical Engineering or military equivalentCity & Guilds 2675 Aeronautical Engineering & Maintenance or NVQ Level 3 in an Aeronautical disciplineAircraft platform training relevant to the fleetTrade Principles trainingGood IT competencyWorking EnvironmentLocated on the Isle of Anglesey, RAF Valley offers the opportunity to work in a unique coastal setting while supporting one of the UK's most important military aviation programmes.
