Job Description **Subcontractor rate £300 per day**This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Architectural Technician / Architectural Technologist to work with an established, family-run business specialising in maintenance, refurbishments, refits and building works.
Based in Hurley, Atherstone, this is a varied, hands-on assignment working across a range of projects, including listed buildings and heritage/conservation work. You will work independently, managing projects from initial survey through to completion and providing technical support throughout.
The company is happy to consider full-time or part-time availability, with some remote/hybrid working possible. Nationwide travel and occasional overnight stays will be required, and ideally you will be available from early October or sooner.
What we need from you: Qualified or suitably experienced Architectural Technician / Architectural TechnologistAutoCAD experience is essentialCompetent in producing CAD drawings for Planning and Listed Building Consent applicationsExperience producing CAD drawings and technical details for Building Regulations submissionsAble to prepare and submit Planning applications from start to finishAble to prepare and submit Listed Building Consent applications from start to finishConfident liaising with Local Authorities, Conservation Officers and Building ControlPrevious experience with listed buildings, listed Building Consent and heritage/conservation projects is highly desirable and will be a key considerationAble to attend sites, undertake surveys and translate survey information into accurate drawingsCapable of working independently and managing your own workloadExperience project managing technical or construction works would be beneficialComfortable with nationwide travel when requiredFull UK driving licenceDesirable: Commercial/building fabric experienceAbility to prepare heritage statementsWhat the role involves: Carrying out surveys of existing buildingsProducing accurate CAD drawings from site survey informationPreparing drawings and documentation for Planning applicationsPreparing and managing Listed Building Consent applicationsProducing technical drawings and details for Building Regulations submissionsManaging applications from preparation through to submission and approvalLiaising with Local Authorities, Conservation Officers and Building ControlProviding technical and project support as requiredSupporting projects through to completionTravelling to sites throughout the UK when requiredSubcontract rate: £300 per day.
