Architecture Director - Data Centres

Overview

In this role you lead multidisciplinary design work for data centre projects, combining architectural leadership with design management and technical delivery. You will build trusted client relationships, manage bids and governance, and drive profitable, on-time delivery across Europe. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to secure opportunities and ensure quality design content and digital workflows. This position offers strategic influence on a growing data centre portfolio and exposure to high-profile projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead Designer/ Consultant on a portfolio of Data Centre projects
• Coordinate discipline leads across Architecture and Engineering deliverables
• Lead bids commercially and technically for multi-disciplinary opportunities with key clients
• Ensure internal governance at bid stage and during delivery
• Identify and secure targeted projects / revenue
• Present to clients and prospective clients
• Support other Directors with sector management and strategy
• General administrative and management duties for the data centre team

Key requirements

• Fully Qualified Architect or Technologist (Chartered or equivalent)
• Proven related technical experience
• Recent experience on Data Centre projects
• Experience with various forms of building contracts
• Working knowledge of Building Systems, Regulations, and construction types
• IT literate (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs)
• Ability to manage a busy workload and deadlines
• Experience in a consultancy or relevant business
• Clear work history with professional development
• Willingness to relocate locally to key office if needed
