Area Manager

Overview

As Area Manager in a Fulfillment Center, you lead a team of 80–120 associates to ensure smooth workflows and meet customer expectations. You drive training, integration, motivation, and performance while safeguarding safety and quality standards. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve operational problems and improve processes. This role supports Amazon’s mission to be Earth’s most customer-centric company, offering opportunities to shape large FC processes and share best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead a main FC team (receive, stow, pick, pack or ship) and ensure workflows run smoothly to meet customer expectations
• Drive training and integration of your team while motivating toward progress
• Promote safety and health standards and safeguard team well-being
• Lead cross-functional teams to solve operational problems
• Uphold high standards of process quality and inventory accuracy
• Strive to streamline and improve processes
• Develop expertise on larger FC processes and activities
• Share and promote best practices with colleagues and network

Key requirements

• Bachelor in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
• Experience in managing and developing teams
• Experience in project and program management
• Proficient English communication (written and verbal) with stakeholders at all levels
• Preferred: Six Sigma or analytical/process improvement techniques
