Operating a substantial fleet of HGV and LGV vehicles, we supply a wide range of storage solutions, from 1,000-litre tanks through to 30,000-litre units. The RoleDue to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Area Manager to join our team. This is a remote field-based role with responsibility for overseeing the operational performance of our satellite depots across the UK.
The position involves regular travel and overnight stays, with accommodation and meal expenses provided. Reporting into senior management, you will ensure that depot operations run efficiently, safely, and in full compliance with transport and company standards, while supporting and developing depot personnel.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple satellite depotsConduct regular depot audits to ensure operational excellence and complianceLead, support, and develop depot teams to achieve business objectivesMonitor and maintain compliance with transport legislation, health and safety requirements, and company proceduresSupport HR-related matters, including employee performance and attendance managementEnsure high standards of customer service across all locationsIdentify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and productivityBuild strong working relationships with depot teams and key stakeholdersAbout YouThe successful candidate will be a highly organised and driven professional with experience within the transport, logistics, or fleet management sector.
