Job Description Area Sales Manager Outdoor Playground EquipmentJob Title: Area Sales Manager Outdoor Playground EquipmentIndustry Sector: Schools & Nurseries, Local Authorities, Parish Councils, Landscape Architects, Leisure Operators and Community GroupsArea to be covered: Huntingdon, St Neots, Cambourne and PeterboroughRemuneration: £37,000-£44,000 + up to £20,000 CommissionBenefits: Fully expensed car or £650 car allowance & full benefitsThe role of the Area Sales Manager Outdoor Playground Equipment will involve: Field based position, selling the design, manufacture and install of outdoor playground equipmentSelling into local authorities, but also schools & nurseries, parish councils, landscape architects and leisure operators70% new business within known/ existing relationships30% new business development, calling on customers sites, conducting surveys etc. (sales into schools and community groups tends to be more new business driven)Typically 4 appointments per day, 4 days a week (one day working from home/ admin)Inheriting a warm areaAverage project size of circa £15,000Circa £1.5m revenue targetLots of sales support including field site visits with the Head of SalesAppoints set for you by internal co-ordinatorsThe ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager Outdoor Playground Equipment with:3 years+ field sales experience with a track record of exceeding targetsIdeally some formal structured sales trainingPrevious experience working within the outdoor playground equipment sector is not required but may be advantageousHighly motivated with tonnes of energy and enthusiasmAny previous experience of selling into local authorities, schools & nurseries, parish councils, landscape architects or leisure operators may be advantageousKnowledge of outdoor playground equipment is not required as full product training will be providedNot afraid to put the hours in!
