Job Description ASD Assistant - OxfordAre you a Psychology graduate eager to gain practical experience supporting young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)?A specialist school in Oxford is seeking a dedicated, caring and enthusiastic ASD Assistant to join their team.

This role is ideal for aspiring Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Therapists, or Teachers who want to build valuable, hands-on experience working with young people with autism and additional needs. As an ASD Assistant ,

you will

Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual students with ASD.Support students with communication, social interaction, emotional regulation and independence. Help students access learning and participate positively within the classroom.

Use consistent and supportive strategies to encourage engagement, confidence and positive behaviour. Work alongside teachers and other professionals to create a structured, inclusive and supportive environment. We're looking for an ASD Assistant who is: Compassionate, patient and enthusiastic about supporting young people.

A confident communicator with a genuine passion for working with individuals with ASD.Interested in gaining practical experience before pursuing a career in psychology, education or therapy. Calm, consistent and resilient when supporting students with different needs and communication styles.
