Assembly Operative Location: Basildon Reporting To: Team Leader Assembly Operative - Aerospace Manufacturing We are recruiting for an experienced Assembly Operative to join a busy and growing aerospace manufacturing team in Basildon.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong engineering background who enjoys precision work and takes pride in producing high-quality components to exact specifications. Working as part of a dedicated production team, you will be responsible for assembling aircraft components to customer-defined standards, ensuring quality, safety, and delivery targets are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities Assemble aircraft components in line with engineering drawings, specifications and work instructions. Carry out assembly of new parts using solid rivets, hand tools and air riveting equipment. Use drills, rivet presses, rivet guns and other specialist assembly equipment safely and effectively.

Perform visual inspections of completed assemblies to ensure quality standards are met. Measure and check components using Verniers and other specialist measuring equipment. Adjust and prepare sheet metal parts ready for assembly.

Apply sealants where required. Work with a variety of materials and surface finishes. Support continuous improvement activities across production processes. Maintain excellent housekeeping and comply with all health and safety requirements. What We're Looking For Essential Skills
