Assistant Accountant Location: Huntingdon (Hybrid/On-site) Salary: £32 - £35k + BenefitsWe are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing manufacturing organisation to recruit an Assistant Accountant.

Reporting into the Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the finance function and contributing to continuous improvement across financial processes.
Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain daily and monthly cashflow forecastsAssist with the preparation of monthly management accounts, including:Trial BalanceProfit & LossBalance SheetVariance analysis with commentaryReconcile control accountsPost accruals, prepayments, and other journals (including sales, cost of sales, and payroll)Maintain the fixed asset register and process depreciationSupport budgeting processes and monthly cost reporting to department managersAssist with year-end processes and financial analysisConduct financial reporting and ad hoc investigationsPerform daily banking activities and bank reconciliationsSupport VAT return preparation (quarterly)Calculate product gross marginsContribute to the development of financial systems and internal controlsAbout YouMinimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within a manufacturing environmentAAT/CIMA part-qualified or actively studying towards a professional accounting qualificationStrong attention to detail and high level of accuracyConfident communicator with the ability to work cross-functionallyProactive, self-motivated, and adaptable in a fast-paced environmentAdvanced Excel skills (including pivot tables, SUMIFs, VLOOKUPs)What’s on OfferOpportunity to join a growing and forward-thinking businessExposure to a broad finance remitSupport for ongoing professional developmentCollaborative and dynamic working environmentFor further information, please contact Kul Mahal on (phone number removed) or email, INDFIN
