About the Role As an Assistant Accountant, youll play an important role within the finance team, supporting day-to-day accounting operations and contributing to accurate financial reporting.

Youll gain exposure to accounts payable, month-end processes, financial records and multiple accounting systems, while working closely with colleagues and external suppliers. Key

Duties

Assist with data entry and maintenance of financial records across various accounting platforms Process accounts payable transactions, verifying invoices and ensuring timely payments Support month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and preparation of documentation Manage and maintain accurate vendor records Assist the finance team with financial reports and wider accounting activities Maintain organised records to support audits and compliance requirements Identify opportunities to improve accounting procedures, automation and efficiency Skills & Experience Required Previous experience within an accounting or finance environment Knowledge of accounts payable processes and financial transactions Experience using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, PeopleSoft or Workday is highly desirable Strong data entry skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Strong communication skills and confidence liaising with colleagues and external suppliers Proactive approach to learning new systems and improving processes Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative finance team For more information on this opportunity or to discuss your suitability, contact Ollie Mairs in complete confidence.
