Job Description Are you an Audit Senior or Assistant Manager looking for more responsibility, a stronger development pathway and a genuinely supportive culture? Our client is a well-established, expanding accountancy practice with offices across Central and Southern England.

Due to continued growth, they're now seeking an ambitious Audit Senior or Audit Assistant Manager to join their Winchester team. This firm is known for its friendly environment, strong technical capability and commitment to helping people progress quickly.

You'll enjoy varied client exposure, flexible working and an inclusive culture that values both professional excellence and work-life balance. The RoleYou'll take a lead role on a wide range of audits, managing fieldwork, supporting junior staff and contributing to high-quality client outcomes.

Key responsibilities include

Leading a variety of audit assignments across multiple sectorsPreparing audit files, taking ownership of planning and supporting fieldworkSupervising and mentoring junior team members, reviewing their work and providing on-the-job trainingEnsuring audits are completed on time, within budget and to a high standardPreparing statutory accounts under UK GAAPPreparing corporation tax computationsMaintaining strong technical knowledge and keeping up to date with industry developmentsSupporting with pricing discussions and new client proposalsBuilding positive relationships internally and with clientsUsing a range of modern software including IRIS, Silverfin, CaseWare, Xero and SageAbout YouYou'll be confident managing audit work from planning through to completion, and comfortable liaising with clients and colleagues at all levels.

You will need to be: ACA or ACCA qualifiedExperienced within UK audit practice (minimum 3 years)Knowledgeable in UK GAAP financial reportingA strong communicator with excellent client-facing skillsAble to produce high-quality work in a fast-paced environmentPositive, professional, organised and adaptableA supportive team player with a can-do attitudeStrong with Excel and quick to pick up new systemsExperience from a mid-tier or reputable medium-sized practice is particularly welcomed.
