A well-established collection of family-run insurance businesses is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to support the Operations Manager in the effective running of day-to-day business operations across multiple sites.
This role plays a key part in ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and the successful delivery of business objectives. The Assistant Operations Manager will work closely with managers and teams across the business to coordinate resources, improve processes, support staff development, and help maintain high standards of customer service and operational excellence.
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this position is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and experience within a financial services environment. Key Responsibilities Operational Support & Resource Coordination Support the Operations Manager in overseeing daily business operations across multiple locations.
Assist with resource planning and allocation to ensure business objectives are achieved efficiently. Monitor operational performance and identify areas for improvement. Work with managers to streamline processes, eliminate inefficiencies, and improve productivity.
Compliance & Regulatory Support Assist in ensuring the business remains compliant with all relevant regulatory and legislative requirements, including FCA regulations, GDPR, and Employment Law. Support the implementation and monitoring of compliance procedures and controls.
Help maintain accurate records and documentation to demonstrate regulatory compliance. Policy Development & Implementation Assist with the development, review, updating, and implementation of internal policies and procedures.
Ensure policies align with regulatory requirements, company objectives, and industry best practice. Support managers in embedding policies consistently across the business. Training & Development Coordinate and deliver training and development initiatives for managers and team members.
