Due to continued growth, they are now looking to recruit an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in Wigan. The RoleAs Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for: Assisting with the commercial management of roofing, cladding, and faade projectsSupporting the preparation of subcontractor enquiries, procurement, and contract administrationAssisting with applications for payment, valuations, variations, and final accountsProducing quantity take-offs and assisting with cost reporting and CVRsMonitoring project costs and supporting budget managementWorking closely with Senior Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers throughout the project lifecycleBuilding strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractorsAssisting with identifying commercial risks and value engineering opportunitiesMaintaining accurate commercial documentation and project recordsSupporting successful project handovers from pre-construction through to completionThe Ideal CandidateThe successful Assistant Quantity Surveyor will have: Previous experience in an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Trainee Quantity Surveyor role within constructionExperience within roofing, cladding, faades, building envelope, or specialist subcontracting would be highly advantageousA Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management qualification (or currently working towards one)Strong numerical, analytical, and commercial skillsExcellent communication and organisational abilitiesGood knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft OfficeA proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and developFull UK Driving LicenceWhat's on OfferCompetitive basic salary of £30,000 - £38,000Attractive benefits packageOpportunity to join a leading specialist contractor within the building envelope sectorStructured mentoring and ongoing professional developmentExposure to high-profile roofing, cladding, and faade projects across the UKLong-term career progression within an expanding commercial teamSupportive and collaborative working environmentApply: If you're interested in this opportunity, then please get in touch today with our Commercial Specialist, Mark Harris.
