Assistant Quantity Surveyor

We’re looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial management on a number of high profile projects across the region. You’ll gain hands on experience across the full project lifecycle, with clear opportunities for professional development and progression.

Responsibilities Help prepare monthly payment applications and client valuations Measure completed works and maintain accurate quantity records Support NEC and FIDIC contract administration, including early warnings, compensation events, variations and notices Prepare subcontractor and supplier enquiries, tender evaluations and purchase orders Assess subcontractor payment applications and maintain their accounts Contribute to monthly CVRs, cost reporting and forecasting Work with site teams to capture changes and protect entitlements Support client and subcontract final accounts Requirements Degree, HNC or HND in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (or currently studying towards one) Some commercial or construction experience is welcome but not essential Understanding of measurement and valuation principles Strong numerical, analytical and organisational skills, with attention to detail Proficient in Microsoft Excel Full driving licence Desirable Familiarity with NEC3/NEC4 Progress towards RICS or ICES membership
