Associate - Corporate Restructuring

Overview

In this role you will support a leading international law firm’s Corporate Restructuring practice in London. You will advise on cross-border restructurings, insolvency processes, and special situations, working with boards, sponsors and creditors across multiple jurisdictions. You will draft and negotiate critical restructuring documents and help shape strategies for challenging distressed scenarios. You join a collaborative platform focused on high-quality client service and complex, high-profile transactions, offering meaningful exposure and development.

Responsibilities

• Advise on cross-border restructurings, out-of-court workouts, formal insolvency processes and related disputes
• Assist in distressed acquisitions and special situations transactions
• Draft, review and negotiate restructuring documentation
• Coordinate with stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions and with other practice groups
• Manage transaction workstreams and support execution of complex restructuring solutions
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and deliver high-quality service

Key requirements

• Approximately 1–2 years PQE in restructuring, insolvency or finance
• Strong drafting and written communication skills
• Excellent technical legal ability with commercial awareness
• Initiative and willingness to own significant responsibilities
• Capability to work in fast-paced, demanding environments
• Strong organizational and project management skills
