Responsibilities

• Strategic leadership to grow the transport planning practice and align with broader business goals
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions
• Oversee complex project delivery, ensuring quality, budget, and timeline adherence
• Lead business development through bids and cross-disciplinary collaboration
• Recruit and develop a high-performing transport planning team and promote inclusive culture

Key requirements

• Degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or related field
• Chartered Status in CIHT or TPS
• Extensive transport planning experience focused on appraisal, business cases, and monitoring/evaluation
• Proven leadership and team management capabilities
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and deliver results
• Knowledge of transport planning principles, UK&I regulations, and transport appraisal
