Overview In this role you lead performance-based and code-compliant fire strategies for diverse projects, guiding concepts through handover. You'll supervise fire modelling work and ensure compliance with regulations while acting as Technical Lead on bids.

Oversee fire and smoke modelling (CFD), evacuation modelling, and smoke control strategies with internal specialists. Ensure designs meet regulations, standards and Stantec quality processes (ADB, BS 9991, BS 9999, NFPA, EN).
Act as Technical Lead on major bids and complex multidisciplinary schemes. Build relationships with clients, architects, developers, contractors and approval authorities; lead meetings and regulatory consultations. Support fee proposals, bid writing and strategic pursuits to grow Fire Engineering within the Buildings business.
Mentor and develop Fire Engineers up to IFE/CEng status; promote technical excellence and knowledge-sharing. Lead internal initiatives and contribute to thought leadership within Stantec's Fire Engineering community. Key requirements Extensive experience producing fire strategies for complex buildings.
Proficient in FDS, PyroSim, Pathfinder or similar modelling tools. Strong communication skills for presenting technical matter to clients. Experience in a consultancy environment working on multidisciplinary projects. Proactive, collaborative mindset aligned to Stantec's values.
