The position focuses on aircraft structural maintenance, metalworking, corrosion remediation, and component repair activities, supporting aircraft availability and operational readiness. You will work to approved technical documentation, maintenance procedures, and airworthiness requirements while contributing to a highly skilled engineering team.

Key Responsibilities Aircraft Maintenance & Structural Repair Carry out metalworking and corrosion remediation activities on aircraft structures and componentsPrepare metallic and composite aircraft structures for repairPerform drilling, reaming, and structural assembly activitiesApply approved adhesive bonding techniquesRemove and install aircraft fasteners and associated hardwareSupport aircraft maintenance and repair activities in accordance with approved technical documentationEnsure all maintenance activities are completed in line with risk assessments and company proceduresMaintain accurate maintenance documentation and recordsIdentify and escalate technical issues where requiredQuality & Compliance Work in accordance with Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) requirementsApply Human Factors and Error Management principlesSupport Continuing Airworthiness Assurance activitiesMaintain the highest standards of safety, quality, and workmanshipEnsure compliance with all engineering and regulatory requirementsWhat We're Looking For Experience Experience using manual and pneumatic toolingExperience preparing metal and/or composite structures for repairExperience drilling, reaming, and carrying out precision assembly workExperience installing and removing mechanical fastenersUnderstanding of adhesive bonding techniquesExperience working within aerospace, defence, manufacturing, engineering, or maintenance environmentsQualifications Engineering Apprenticeship (Aeronautical, Mechanical, or equivalent) OR NVQ Level 2 (or higher) in a relevant engineering discipline OR Equivalent military or industry experienceWhy RAF Marham?
