Associate Mechanical Design Engineer

Overview

In this role you will drive high-performance mechanical building services design across RIBA stages for landmark projects in London. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, manage key client accounts, and support bids and resource planning to sustain the firm’s expansion.

The position offers fast progression toward Associate Director, aligning with the company’s growth and reputation for quality. You will contribute to delivering CAT A/B commercial, pharmaceutical, hotel and education projects while ensuring regulatory compliance.

This is a hands-on, client-focused design leadership role with tangible impact on major schemes.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan and coordinate projects through all RIBA Stages
• Attend client and design team meetings
• Manage key client accounts
• Produce high performance mechanical building services design for landmark projects
• Assist the Director with bids, contracts, resource and fee forecasting
• Produce Mechanical and HVAC designs that meet Building Regs and CIBSE guidelines

Key requirements

• At least 6 years experience in Mechanical Design Engineering
• Familiar with Building Regulations and CIBSE guidelines
• Experience in a client-facing role
• Experience using Hevacomp for Mechanical Design
• Good commercial awareness
• Passion for the industry and progression towards higher roles
