Audit Supervisor - Audit, Accounting & Advisory Key Details Location: Blackburn or Bury, Lancashire Salary: Competitive / Negotiable Working Pattern: Full-time, permanent Hybrid Working: Flexible hybrid working available Working Hours: Full-time, with weekly flexitime About the Role An established and growing accountancy practice is looking to recruit an Audit Supervisor to join its expanding Audit, Accounting & Advisory team, based in either Blackburn or Bury.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA/ACCA-qualified accountant with at least four years' external audit experience who is looking to take the next step in their career and progress towards an Audit Manager position.

You will join a well-established audit team of over 45 professionals, working with a varied portfolio of corporate clients and business owners. Around 75% of the role will focus on statutory audits, with the remaining time spent on year-end accounts preparation and ad hoc advisory projects.

You will take responsibility for managing audit assignments, leading on-site teams, developing client relationships and supporting the development of more junior members of the team. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage on-site audit teams across a varied portfolio of corporate clients.

Take responsibility for statutory audit assignments of varying sizes and complexity. Review and manage audit files, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to a high standard. Report directly to Audit Managers and Responsible Individuals.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing an excellent level of service. Work closely with managers, directors, partners and corporate tax colleagues. Support, train and develop junior members of the audit team.

Identify opportunities to improve audit quality, processes and efficiency. Assist with year-end accounts preparation and ad hoc advisory projects. Experience Minimum of four years' experience working within external audit.

Previous experience leading on-site audit teams. Experience managing audit assignments and reviewing audit files. Strong technical knowledge of statutory audit and accounting standards. Experience working with a varied portfolio of corporate clients.

Excellent communication and client relationship skills. A proactive approach with the ability to manage workloads and support junior colleagues. Qualifications ACA / ACCA qualified or equivalent. Minimum of four years' external audit experience.

An ambition to progress into an Audit Manager position. Working Pattern & Flexibility Full-time, permanent position. Based in either Blackburn or Bury. Flexible hybrid working arrangements. Weekly flexitime. Client site visits predominantly across Lancashire and Greater Manchester.
