AV Project Engineer

Overview

In this role, you take ownership of the technical delivery of AV projects and lead the assigned engineering team. You’ll work with project managers to align engineering components with project goals and support pre-sales through technical guidance.

You’ll visit client sites for surveys, produce drawings and documentation, and ensure smooth installation and handover. The position offers hybrid working, career development, and a chance to contribute to SCC’s IT transformation and customer-experience focus.

You’ll be a key technical bridge between customers, vendors, and installation teams, driving successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Technical Governance: manage design drawings and ensure alignment with project goals
• Solution Implementation: translate pre-sales solutions into actionable team knowledge
• Problem-Solving: provide technical guidance to overcome challenges and keep projects on track
• Documentation: create schematics, elevation drawings, as-builts, and bespoke training/user materials
• Customer Support: assist Project Manager and respond to technical customer queries

Key requirements

• Experience with AV project delivery from conception to completion
• Ability to work with Project Managers to align engineering components with goals
• Experience in reviewing and updating Bills of Materials
• Site surveys and producing engineering drawings (RCP/Floor Plans, elevations)
• Proficiency with Visio and AutoCAD (or Stardraw) for AV schematics
• Strong communication with clients, vendors, and installation teams
• Ability to plan in constrained timelines and manage technical staff
