Cloud Engineer (AWS) | Manchester| Hybrid Working An exciting opportunity for an experienced Cloud Engineer / AWS Developer to join a growing engineering team delivering innovative cloud-based solutions across complex and highly regulated environments.
They're looking for a technically strong, self-motivated engineer who enjoys solving challenging problems, working with modern cloud technologies, and contributing throughout the full software delivery lifecycle. The successful candidate will work within an autonomous DevOps team, helping design, develop, deploy, and maintain cloud applications and services that support critical operational requirements.
They'll have the opportunity to influence technical decisions, explore new technologies, and take ownership of meaningful engineering projects. The Role The successful candidate will work closely with engineers, stakeholders, and end users to understand requirements and deliver scalable, secure, and reliable cloud solutions using Amazon Web Services (AWS).
They'll be part of a collaborative engineering environment that encourages innovation, continuous improvement, and the adoption of modern DevOps practices. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, deploy, and maintain cloud-based applications and services using AWS.
Build and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools. Identify appropriate technologies and approaches to solve complex technical and business challenges. Develop scripts and application code to automate processes and improve operational efficiency.
Contribute to the full software delivery lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design through to deployment and maintenance. Work collaboratively within Agile and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Implement and maintain version control, automated testing, and continuous integration and delivery practices.
Support the monitoring, performance, security, and reliability of cloud environments. Collaborate with technical colleagues and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
