NegotiableCardiff, Wales Permanent Our client, a leading company in the aerospace sector specialising in Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO), is currently seeking a B1 Licensed Engineer to join their team in Twin Peaks, St Athan.
This permanent role involves critical maintenance activities in the aircraft engineering environment, requiring adherence to high standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Leading a team of Technicians and Mechanics for Base Maintenance checksEnsuring accurate completion of paperwork and forms as per Company MOE or published proceduresCommunicating maintenance requirements and any issues to the Bay Manager and Production PlannersCompleting maintenance documentation in a timely manner, including documentation from assisting personnelEnsuring accurate task timings and bookings on task cardsProperly storing aircraft components with correct labelling, racking, availability, and serviceabilityMaintaining engineering practices within the hangar, including completing task cards and ensuring workplace cleanlinessRecommending improvements in working conditions, practices, and proceduresPerforming additional tasks and duties as required by business needsAdhering to company frameworks and complying with organisational policiesJob
Requirements
Experience in aircraft maintenance, including at least 3 years in Base MaintenanceAbility to use recognised aircraft documentationBroad skillset in aircraft systems, including rigging, component replacement, and modification embodimentStrong structural assessment and repair knowledgeIn-depth knowledge of aircraft systemsPossessing a B1 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer's Licence (UK CAA AML or EASA AML)Type Rating & Recency for any Boeing or Airbus family aircraftDesirable Type Rating & Recency for Boeing 737CL / 737NG / 757 / 767 and Airbus A320 FamilySuccessful candidates must be available for aircraft type training, which will be provided by the company.
