BI Engineer Contract: 12 month FTC (possibility of going permanent) Location: London | Working Pattern: Hybrid (3 days in the office) I'm currently representing my client, who is looking for a BI Engineer to support the development of data models, ETL processes and reporting solutions, working closely with analysts and developers to deliver high-quality BI solutions.
The Role
Develop and maintain ETL processes, data warehouses and SSAS cubes. Build and enhance data and semantic models, including advanced DAX calculations. Write and optimise SQL queries and stored procedures. Support testing, quality assurance, bug fixing and data validation.
Troubleshoot data issues and support client queries. Collaborate with analysts and developers to deliver scalable, reliable BI solutions. The
Requirements
Strong SQL Server and T-SQL development experience. Experience with SSAS multidimensional and Tabular models, including DAX. Knowledge of ETL processes, data warehousing and dimensional modelling. Familiarity with Azure data services and modern data platforms.
Experience with data validation, testing and quality assurance. Understanding of established BI development standards and architectural patterns. What Will Make You Stand Out: Experience with Data Vault and Kimball modelling methodologies.
